Heron gathers a group of passionate people who aim to make the concept of 'intelligent autonomous agent' an everyday reality, and to set new standards in service robotics.
This is a challenging task which is pursued through a network of research and business connections with some of the most active people and organization in the robotics community.

Fabio P. Bonsignorio

Professional experience: From 1985 Seiaf (IBM-ELSAG joint-venture Computer Integrated Manufacturing, when leaving responsible for simulation, scheduling and planning systems), 1991 Orsi Automazione (now a division of Siemens, planning and control process industry, when leaving responsible for Integration&Communication unit ),1997 Imation (3M spinoff, site IT Manufacturing Systems manager), 2000 Ferrania Spa (Imation spin-off for Health Care digital solutions, Imaging, Web applications manager), 2004 founder and CEO of Heron (advanced robotic and service solutions).
He holds a research position on network robotics and is lecturing in robotics, industrial control systems and machine design at the Department of Mechanics of the University of Genova.
Research subjects: Robotics: software architectures, robot swarms, intelligent agents, planning and control, Web applications: web applications in service, leisure, health care.
Publications: author or co-author of publications in the areas of robotics (control, architectures, software) and manufacturing systems (simulation, govern, software).
